Blog Session 6: Changes to my study program

I am studying biochemistry, and I'm in my third year. Until today I don`t think that the obligatory subjects of the career are innecesary, but the others, such as sports workshops or obligatory extracurricular activities are innecesary, I am not against their existence, but it should be optional, because the academic load makes them impossible to perform correctly and also some are very badly made. 

I think the duration of the career is the right one, because it`s not excessively long, and the stay at the university gives us the possibility to explore the options we can choose.

In the field of infrastructure, my faculty is very small, before joining the university, I thought that because it was the University of Chile, it would have very good facilities and would have large spaces, such as recreation, study areas, CLASSROOMS, and the reality was different, hopefully we have a mini building with classrooms, the rest are laboratories occupied mainly by teachers and a litlle by students. 

We even lack our own casino to have lunch or buy lunches, our library is very very small, and when it rains there is not enough room for shelter, we have to stay in the cold classrooms
I was also very disappointed with the teaching method, but I know why, the teachers who teach us to occupy the laboratories to do their own research must work as teachers in the university, so they practically do not do it by vocation (most of them), and it feels like they have no training in pedagogy

    I think extracurricular subjects are mainly made for the students (and future professionals) to have a more large perspective beyond their own discipline.

    i forget that we didn't have a casino haha, and when it rains we don't have enough spaces to protect about it, so sad

    I agree with you, there are some teachers who are not fluent in teaching, but there are others who are very good, at least the ones in my career(qf) who are all very good.

    There are teachers who are stuck in the past and do not want to learn new teaching methods, which often does not benefit us.

The best holidays I've had

  The best holidays I`ve had was in februry of 2019. I went with my family to a place called "Tres Playitas", wich it`s located in the third region of Chile to a beach hut. I go with my mother, sister, and many others cousins and uncles. That holyday was special because it was a year since I went to study away from my family in Santiago, I am from Antofagasta, so the family reunion was gratefull.                    Second beach of "Tres Playitas"   We were in that place for a week aproximately, the landscape is desertic and full off dunes and without much vegetation, like cactus and other species of plants. We makes many things like walk in the seaside, cook together, play cards and made a bonfire, and talks horror storys of ghosts and witches. The sky of that place was so special because always gave us a novelty, for example we observed many sunyrise throw the clouds and also a "Halo" in the sun, and in the night the sky...
