Blog Session 4: Postgraduate studies

Hello, I have always had the idea that in the future I will study something abroad like a specialization or relevant technique important to my career. I want to follow the way of environmental care and I think that abroad they are more developed than in Chile. I would like to get new tools for then return to Chile and aplicated that I learn in thats countries. Spain have always had in my mind like a county that I want t go to study, but I dont investigate so much about their speciality, but that country it`s ubicated in Europe and here are many universities relatively close in other countries taht I would to go and learn. The only thing that I now is that the developed countries have the knowledge and the latest technology for the care of the environment. I would like to study techniques about bioremediation, forms to reutilize and degrade the waste we produce day by day and many others.

I would like to study in situ, because I think that it`s the best form to learn something new, in addition to that I love to travel and know others places.

The best holidays I've had

  The best holidays I`ve had was in februry of 2019. I went with my family to a place called "Tres Playitas", wich it`s located in the third region of Chile to a beach hut. I go with my mother, sister, and many others cousins and uncles. That holyday was special because it was a year since I went to study away from my family in Santiago, I am from Antofagasta, so the family reunion was gratefull.                    Second beach of "Tres Playitas"   We were in that place for a week aproximately, the landscape is desertic and full off dunes and without much vegetation, like cactus and other species of plants. We makes many things like walk in the seaside, cook together, play cards and made a bonfire, and talks horror storys of ghosts and witches. The sky of that place was so special because always gave us a novelty, for example we observed many sunyrise throw the clouds and also a "Halo" in the sun, and in the night the sky...

Blog Session 6: Changes to my study program

I am studying biochemistry, and I'm in my third year. Until today I don`t think that the obligatory subjects of the career are innecesary, but the others, such as sports workshops or obligatory extracurricular activities are innecesary, I am not against their existence, but it should be optional, because the academic load makes them impossible to perform correctly and also some are very badly made.  I think the duration of the career is the right one, because it`s not excessively long, and the stay at the university gives us the possibility to explore the options we can choose. In the field of infrastructure, my faculty is very small, before joining the university, I thought that because it was the University of Chile, it would have very good facilities and would have large spaces, such as recreation, study areas, CLASSROOMS, and the reality was different, hopefully we have a mini building with classrooms, the rest are laboratories occupied mainly by teachers and a litlle by studen...
